My friend, Nora, passed along an excellent piece of advice from her beloved grandmother. I added to it, and it's so good I want to share it with you.
How you spend the first week of the New Year is how you will spend your year.
If you’re looking for a new way to set resolutions or goals for your 2017, begin here. Now. (Now is one of my favorite 3-letter words.)
What do you value? Identify your top 5.
If you lived each one more fully, how would that look in small every day actions? Make a list.
Do each one of them throughout the week, daily, if possible.
Write, draw, or dance how this makes you feel.
Write down what can get in the way of keeping these going. Then strategize with “If/Then” statements. You can draw this too, but important to get it on paper.
Yesterday is gone forever, sorry, no do overs.
Start crafting a 2017 that you would do over if you could.
Thanks Nana.
